District Governor Jack and Lion Betty Weist DG Jack has also held the District positions of Region Chair and co-chair of Law Camp along with Lion Betty. He is currently Leaderdog Trustee. Lions Jack and Betty have attended several District and State Conventions, several Mid-winter conferences, and District and State Leadership training. DG Jack retired in 2005 from the Indiana Department of Corrections after 32 years. Most of those years were spent at the Pendleton Correctional Facility (IN Reformatory). The last 14 years he was the Assistant Superintendent of that maximum security prison and lived on prison grounds. Jack currently teaches criminal justice classes at the Indiana Business College, is a Captain with the Markleville Police Department, and is Bailiff and Law Enforcement Liaison for the Pendleton Town Court. In his spare time Lion Jack enjoys working in his work shop. DG Jack is married to Lion Betty who is a State Parole Officer. They have 2 sons; Sam (Markleville) and Ben (Pendleton) and 6 grandchildren. Jack and Betty live in the south Madison County town of Markleville where they enjoy their membership in the East Christian Church. Jack is also a member of the Planning Commission for Markleville. Lion Jack also serves as a Board member of the United States Deputy Wardens Association.
Vice
Governor Mark L. Anderson became a Lion with the Carmel Lions Club in 2005. Lion
Mark has served on various committees and projects. He is a past president of
that club (2008-2009). He also served as Director, 1st and 2nd
Vice President, and Chairperson of the Annual Fruit Sale. Lion Mark is honored
to be a Melvin Jones Fellow.
Lion Mark has also held the District positions of Zone
Chair, and District Co-Chair for the USA Canada Lions Leadership Forum. Lions
Mark has attended several District, State, and International Conventions,
several Mid-winter conferences, three USA/Canada Lions Leadership Forums, and
District and State Leadership training. VDG Mark is married to Lion Shelli. She has been with the Delta Faucet Co. in the accounting department since 1989. In their spare time Mark and Shelli enjoy riding motorcycles, bird watching, photography, and attending motorcycle races. Mark and Shelli live in Hamilton County in the city of Carmel. They are members of Colonial Hills Baptist Church in Indianapolis where Lion Shelli is one of the church pianists and a soprano in the church choir. Cabinet Secretary Dan Richison Dan has held most of the club offices including a term as a president earning the Club President’s Excellence Award. Dan has served as Region and Zone Chair. He chaired several district committees including Activities, Audit, Budget/Finance, Convention, Diabetes, Extension, Information Technology, Leadership Development, and Nominations and Elections. Dan developed and maintains the district website. Lion Richison has served as MD 25 State Convention Chair, as State Convention Advisory Committee Chair several times, MD 25 Impact Coordinator, and State Diabetes Awareness Chair. Dan has attended every district convention since becoming a Lion, 19 state conventions, every mid-winter conference, 5 USA/Canada Forums, and 2 international Conventions Dan is a Progressive Melvin Jones Fellow and a W.P. Woods Fellow. He has been awarded an International President’s Leadership Medal and International President’ Certificates of Appreciation. He 2007 is was named the Outstanding Lion in District 25 D. Dan holds a Builders Membership Key and an Extension Award. Dan has been married to his wife, Mickie, for 30 years. They have a son, Brian, a daughter, Tamara, and Grand-daughter, Paige. Lion Dan is a graduate of Ball State University and holds a Real Estate Broker’s License. He worked for Marsh Supermarkets for over 40 years. Cabinet Treasurer Sally Cook Sally is a Melvin Jones Fellow and was presented with a Progressive WP Woods Fellowship by her husband, Steve, during his year as governor. Sally has served several times as treasurer, secretary, vice-president and president at her local clubs. She has held the positions of region chairman, zone chairman and LCIF chairman for her district throughout the years. She is currently serving her third term as treasurer for the Albany Lions Club. Sally retired in February 2009 from a local car dealership where she held the position of corporate secretary-treasurer. She had worked for several car dealerships over a span of 30 years. She has been married to her husband, PCC Steve for 36 years. They have four children, 10 grandchildren and 1 great granddaughter. Sally's hobbies are quilting, knitting and reading. |
